New Way Athletics
This past summer, I launched a softball league with the help of my dad and brother, built entirely around ministry, outreach, and community. Our goal was to create something that honored God while still being competitive and fun for players and fans alike.
What started as a simple idea turned into something bigger than we imagined. Four teams joined the league, fully embracing the mission and the unique spirit we set out to cultivate.
By the time playoffs rolled around, we had more than 200 people showing up each night to watch church league softball — something none of us expected. The energy, support, and sense of community were unreal.
But the most powerful moment came after the first night of playoffs. The pitcher from one of our teams approached my dad — who's also the pastor of our church — and asked if he could be baptized on the field after the championship game the next day. He said the league had changed his life.
